Mount Coolum’s challenging 18-hole layout sits at the southern foot of the iconic 26-million year-old volcanic peak from which it gets its name, and less than 1km from one of the Sunshine Coast’s pristine beaches.
Our Par 72 course features numerous waterholes and creeks, winding their way through the vast expanses of native vegetation that provides a wonderful sanctuary for the local wildlife.
The Club has a reputation as “the Friendly Club” – with an active and engaged membership exceeding 900 in number. You will feel welcomed at Mount Coolum – whether you become a member, or are simply a visitor to our region.

🧢⛳️ Captain vs President & Dickies Dress Up Day – What a Cracker! 🎭🏌️♂️
Yesterday was one for the books! The MCGC Vets took to the course for our annual Captain vs President clash, and what a tight battle it was…
Just 5 measly points separated the teams, with President Darryl and his crew taking out the trophy for the 6th time in 9 years, edging out the Captain’s Team 696 to 692. While the Captain gave it his best shot, Darryl’s rock-solid 36 points proved too strong on the day. There’s always next year… right, Captain? 😅
On the lighter (and far more colourful) side of things, Dickies Dress Up Day (DDUD) was a huge hit once again! Big thanks to Dickie Cattell for sponsoring this much-loved tradition. With golf greens, court jesters, superheroes, and even Fred Flintstone roaming the fairways, the creativity was next-level. 👏
