The Thursday Triple Challenge competition has been run over the past few weeks, with entrants playing in the Stableford, Par then Stroke events respectively over the last three Thursday’s.
In a very close finish, Christopher Rolph has won the 2020 Thursday Triple Challenge, scoring 39 Points (4th overall), +2 (8th overall) and 72 nett (16th overall) for his three rounds. Although he played to his handicap, it’s fair to say Chris limped home to victory with his worst finish overall out of the three events in yesterday’s stroke competition. But it was his exceptional first few rounds that lead Chris to take out this year’s competition.
Rob Taylor conversely came on strong towards the end of the Triple Challenge to claim Runner-Up. Rob scored in the lower half of the field in the opening Stableford round with 32 points. However his redemption started with a +3 (equal 2nd) in the Par round, and then he almost leaped in front at the final post with a scintillating 62 nett yesterday, but fell just shy of the top prize.
Louina Robertson was our best placed female, finishing 7th overall after amassing 154.5 points.
