Mount Coolum Junior Julian Stavrou has been selected to the District Junior Development Squad. This is a promising step for the 15 year old, who has shown his potential by wiping his handicap almost in half in the past 12 months, dropping from in the low 20’s down to just 11.
Each year, the Sunshine Coast & South Burnett District Golf Association selects a small group of promising young golfers for their Junior Development Squad. The players are selected based upon their continued performance improvement during Junior events and Pennant competitions.
The primary benefit of selection in the Development Squad is being invited to attend a Coaching Day under the guidance of our District Teaching Professional, Mr Peter Heiniger. The SCSBDGA picks up the tab for all activities on the Coaching Day including golf tuition, usage of the practice facility, and lunch.
