With all the excitement of Anthony Quayle’s home-state triumph in last weekend’s Qld Open, Golf Australia gave our next generation of golf stars a chance to shine the weekend before with the hosting of the Kids TB Hunter Cup at Pelican Waters Golf Club.
Inviting teams of MyGolf registered kids from around the Sunshine Coast, the 2020 Kids TB Hunter Cup & Pitch and Putt Challenge was a chance for some local junior talent to have their moment in the spotlight and ‘set the stage’ for the professional’s in the 2020 Isuzu Queensland Open.
Mount Coolum Golf Club was represented by a quartet of our cadet members – Rory Habermann, Jarvis Miller, Nate Jenkins and James Fowler.
Our boys scored 35 in the 9 Hole Ambrose competition on the tough Pelican Waters course, which was good enough for 4th Overall.
All participants in the Kids TB Hunter Cup were invited to take part in a Presentation yesterday in conjunction with the QLD Open Presentations ceremony. The Kids TB Hunter Cup was a 9 Hole Ambrose competition for teams of MyGolf registered kids who are non-handicapped players under 12 years of age.
