The Mount Coolum B Grade Pennant Team have a chance of going back-to-back with the SCGZ Pennant title after they qualified for this years Final, beating out Headland in the semi-final on Sunday.
Mount Coolum had all our Men’s teams in the semi-finals on Sunday, but unfortunately the A Grade and Masters squads fell short and missed a spot in the Final.
The B Grade team – Nathan Collins, Phill Joyce, Jamie Franklin, Mick Mraz, Paddy Gassner, Brendan Cassidy and Jim Rice – will now face off against Noosa Golf Club in the final to decide the Flag.
Unfortunately, we don’t know when that will be as the Pennant Final has been postponed until later in the year.
A post on the Zone’s website, and an email sent by the Zone Director of Golf, states “The SCGZ committee have made the decision to postpone this Sunday’s pennant final until a date later in the year when the full facilities of the clubs will hopefully be available.”
We will inform members of the revised date as soon as we know any further details.
