Brett Whalley Improves With Ace

Brett Whalley scored a Hole in One in Tuesday’s competition, going the long way about it by scoring his Ace on the 156m 14th hole.

Brett selected a 5 wood on the tee, considering the windy conditions at the time. And it was a perfect selection for a perfect result, witnessed by his envious playing partners.

To the chagrin of his marker, Paul Wulff, Brett was struggling up until that point, amassing just 17 points after 13 holes. The Hole in One gave Brett almost a third of his previous total, scoring 5 points on the hole and moving up to 22 points. It was enough to help Brett along to a total of 28 points, beating Paul overall by just 1 point.

Once all was said and done though, Paul and the playing group were full of Congratulations for Brett and his Ace effort. Brett will now receive a trophy commemorating his Hole in One.
