Michael Ferraz has leapt to the top of the Atkinsons Air Order of Merit after featuring strongly in two of the the three Single Saturday events during March.
Michael picked up maximum points (500) after a score of Nett 70 in the Monthly Medal on 6th March, and had the second-best score (of 40pts) in the month’s final round for 165pts.
March’s major points went to the following:
- Week 1 – Michael Ferraz (Nett 70 – 500pts), Kev Ireland (Nett 71 – 300pts)
- Week 2 – Fourball – No points
- Week 3 – Peter Mansini (38 stableford pts – 300 OOM pts), Darren Bennett (38 – 165 pts)
- Week 4 – Chris Wright (40 stableford pts – 300 OOM pts), Michael Ferraz (40, 165pts)
The Top 10 as at 1st April is as follows:

The Atkinsons Air Order of Merit is a points-based competition run over all Single competitions held on Saturday between the start of February and the December Monthly Medal in a Fedex Cup style format, where Monthly Medals and Club Championship rounds are worth more points than a regular Stableford etc. This event offers a great opportunity for those that play consistent golf, week-in, week-out. To illustrate this point, last year’s winner Garry Williamsz won the maximum points just once across the 10-month competition.
Throughout the remainder of the year, we intend to post a monthly review of the Atkinsons Air OOM events and Leaderboard.
