John Flutter has not only maintained, but extended his lead in the Thursday Triple Challenge. John had a Nett 67 in the stroke round yesterday, and now holds a 5 point lead over Bill Betts.
The Triple Challenge awards points based on the players’ scores over three successive events – one each of Par, Stableford and Stroke. Following on from the Stableford last week, this Thursday’s event was a Single Stroke (Midweek Medal), and the final round on Thursday 25th November is a Single v Par.
Each player receives points each week based on the number of eligible players in the field. With 68 entrants on Saturday, the leader is awarded 68 points, second place 67 points etc… Prizes are awarded to the following:
- Overall Winner
- Overall Runner-up
- Men’s A, B and C Grade Winner
- Women’s Winner
MCGC also conducts a Saturday Triple Challenge – which is played early in the New Year, and the Women’s Match Committee conducts one for Women as well.
